Setting Moon
A good friend took this picture this morning after a glorious night. I love cold and crisp (-5) nights when there is a full moon, nice snow and frost on the trees. When it is like this it is so bright that a flashlight is not needed to walk around or even drive. The moon is very bright and with it reflecting off of the snow it throws it's light everywhere.
With it being below zero every night for the last week and into the foreseeable future it is nice to have a heated hangar to work in while maintaining our aircraft. In the picture below I am torquing the nuts that hold the propeller onto the engine of our Cessna 206. This is very important as you can imagine, so extra care is always taken. This plane is almost ready for its return to service flight after an annual inspection. This flight enables us to check all the aircraft systems thoroughly before we venture out on a trip far from home.
